Todd Maki is currently seeking new opportunities after a successful tour as both enlisted and as an officer in the US Army.
He finished his tour of duty as a First Lieutenant at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii in May of 2015. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in January of 2012 after graduating Officer Candidate School. He initially signed up in April of 2009 to enlist in September of that same year as a Specialist in Field Artillery Automated Tactical Data Systems. In 2008, Todd F. Maki came within a few hundred votes of winning the primary for Florida State Representative in District 87. Out of that experience, he has emerged even more determined to serve his district, his state and our nation more effectively.

For many years, Todd has been deeply committed to public service in the political, health and safety, and faith-based arenas. His political involvement dates back to his college days in the political science department at Florida State University, located in the heart of the state capital. While there, he served as a legislative intern for former State Senator Dave Aronberg and for former State Senator and U.S. Congressman, Ron Klein..

Todd has long been a leader and a trainer of leaders. Active in student government, he represented more than 40,000 students as the Student Trustee on the District Board of Trustees of Palm Beach State College. As the sole student representative, he worked rigorously with the Student Body, Administration and other Trustees to improve food service and facilities. At the request of the director of the Summer Youth College, Todd, who participated in a similar program in 2004, led Future Leadership Boca in 2008 and 2009. He is also the founder and past chairman of the Christian Leadership Association at Palm Beach State College and was Secretary of Municipal Affairs at Florida State University. While studying Political Science at Florida State, Todd worked hard with the City and County Commissions to maintain free student travel on public transit and improve ride times at and around the University as a Stakeholder.

Much of Todd's work life has been in the field of public/military service and health and safety. He has been an Aqua Aerobics Instructor for the U.S. Water Fitness Association, Aquatic Supervisor and Swim Lesson Instructor at the YMCA, a Boca Raton Ocean Rescue Lifeguard and was a Disaster Alert Team Member and Health and Safety Educator (CPR, First Aid, AED) for the American Red Cross. Todd was an active member of Advent Lutheran Church in Boca Raton where he participated in a mission trip to Haiti. He was an Assistant Team Leader for the Kairos Prison Ministry; a fund raiser for Food for the Poor; and a participant in Habitat for Humanity. He also served as Vice President of Sales Operations at Rescue-101.

His many honors and awards prior to Military Service include a Provost Award for Distinguished Service at Palm Beach State College; Volunteer in Public Schools, Palm Beach County; and an Environmental Scholarship at Gumbo Limbo/FAU. He served under the Chief of Naval Education and Training in NJROTC; and he has delivered opening remarks at the Junior Achievement, South Florida Business Hall of Fame with Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.).

Todd is currently attending Hawaii Pacific University. He now holds a B.S. in political science from Florida State University and is a proud graduate of Palm Beach State College.
