Tai Chi is an underground rapper who began his career in Michigan before moving down South to Atlanta in search of greater opportunities.
Born Tychius Dequa Marti on August 1, 1981, in East St. Louis, IL, he was raised in Grand Rapids, MI, and began rapping at a young age. He made his recording debut at age 16 with Raw Power: Intro to 97 (1997) and continued to periodically release albums such as Show the World (2002). After moving to Atlanta, he associated himself with the independent label Wealthy Family Records and released albums including Meeting of the Bosses (2006) and Raw Power: Intro to 07 (2007). ~ Jason Birchmeier
