Punkers the Teeth formed sometime in 2002 around Ann Arbor, MI.
Vocalist Dave Reminick and drummer Andrew Tholl met through Tholl's girlfriend at the time. Sharing similar interests in rock and experimental music, away from the stuffiness and rigidness of music school, Reminick and Tholl decided to start a band. Guitarist Pete Soppelsa entered the fold after a night of karaoke, and the three decided to get together to play. "SUVD" was the first song written -- an 18-second song written in two and a half hours. Bassist Chris Riggs was added shortly thereafter and the Teeth were officially born. After recording More Songs About Money and Animals in 2004, Riggs eventually decided to transfer to Ohio's Oberlin College for music, leaving a opening for bass. The Teeth picked up Adam McCormick to handle bass duties, gigging here and there throughout 2005. Reminick and McCormick relocated to Chicago later in the year, performing the occassional show while in different states. A split 7" with the Pussy Pirates was released in late 2005. ~ David Serra
