The Rockitts intention of wanting to bring back the 1977-inspired punk of the Ramones to their native Nottingham, England, started upon their formation in 1998.
Added with a raw aggression of '60s garage rock, the lineup of Mark (vocals), Tom (drums), Aaron (guitar), Ian (guitar), and Graham (guitar) settled in before the debut of their first single, "Maxine," the following year on their own label. ~ Mike DaRonco
