Taking their noise of moody, laid-back pop riffs to their San Francisco headquarters, Jargon's indie roots still managed to be critically labeled as alternative rock, even though their approach was never intended to sound mainstream.
Regardless, Jargon's sound was eventually captured in 1998 on their first self-titled full-length courtesy of Boiled Lobster Records. Unfortunately, not too long after this release, Tim (singer/guitarist) and Trevor (bass) remained as the only original members of Jargon after the departure of Rich (drums) and Jason (guitarist). ~ Mike DaRonco
