The Seattle foursome came together after responding to the same classified ad, ultimately creating the Purrs in 2000. Over the next couple of years, while honing their post-punk-inspired sound, the Purrs became a constant fixture on the Pacific Northwest tour circuit. Their debut EP release, No Particular Bar, No Particular Town arrived in 2004. KEXP quickly took a liking to the band's jangly rock sound, adding their independent full-length LP The Dreams Our Stuff Is Made Of (2005) to their regular rotation. A year later, two EP cuts and seven album tracks were remixed and remastered for their self-titled full-length LP for Sarathan. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
