With influences spanning everything from classic rock to country to indie rock, the group worked on refining their sound for a couple of years; when Bonn left the group in 1997, Jason Chenoweth switched to bass and the Onlys became a power trio. That year, they released their debut album, 1300, which they followed in 2000 with Tune the Blue Screen, a collection of old and new material.
