Their sound has developed over the last few years on the London club scene at venues such as The Barfly, Proud Galleries, The Dublin Castle and 93 Feet East. In the summer of 2012 the band supported The Futureheads and The Milk on the main stage at Brownstock Festival. In the summer of 2013 they will be appearing at The Fling Festival in Chelmsford and Wickerman in Scotland. Their music has been played on BBC 6 Music by Danny Wallace and BBC Essex.

The Kubricks have been influenced by British Ska greats such as The Specials, Madness and the likes of Fat Freddy's Drop but they also have great admiration of Northern Soul, Jazz and Rock.
