Justin grew up playing drums while little brother Matt took up playing guitar. They played gigs in and around their native Asheville, NC, with locals like the Goldenrods and Les Dirt Clods, but a theatrical production would seriously shape things up. This particular project came about in 2000, leaving the brothers to compose material good enough for a debut album. They christened themselves the Houston Brothers and issued I Take Care of You in 2001. Several years later, they rechristened themselves the Houstons and released a new full-length, Still, in 2007. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
