A seven-piece consisting of Crofto Deirdre, Ramble Deirdre, Sparkle Deirdre, Russkies Deirdre, Fairy Deirdre, Ginger Deirdre, and Keirdre Deirdre, the group formed in 2006, basing itself in Derby, England. The Deirdres' debut single, Dinosaurs That Can Swim, was released on Cloudberry in the fall of 2007. Their first EP, Why Do My Glasses Give You the Heeby Jeebys?, came out on Sweden's Cosy Records the following summer. A 7" single, Milk Is Politics/Sir Michael of Aspel, came out on Cherryade Records a few months later. ~ Margaret Reges
