Earning a reputation of fighting with their audience as well as never finishing a set without a stage full of broken glass are the New York-based Defectives.
Inspired by the likes of the New York Dolls, the Real Kids, the Heartbreakers as well as a number of other punk rock trash acts from the '70s, the band eventually hooked up with Cacophone Records in 1996. Their debut single Comin' Around -- with a B-side of Hank Williams' "Cold Cold Hearts" -- resulted that same year. ~ Mike DaRonco
