An Anglo-Irish band formed in 1989 by Roger Hubbard (guitar/vocals), Colin Gibson (bass) and Liam Genockey (drums), they played a sophisticated form of music that was country blues based with pleasing elements of folk.
In the late 60s Hubbard had become known in the UK as a blues artist and led the band Delta Wing. The trio with Gibson and Genockey made a successful album in 1990 but the band’s members all had busy careers and this meant that Buick 6 (named after a Bob Dylan song) was never really a full-time entity. They continued to play together into the early 00s when opportunities and conflicting schedules allowed.
