Considered fundamentally to be a late 60s, early 70s group, the repertoire ranges from Irish folk to heavy acid rock and includes funk, folk rock, pop and psychedelia.
Every song is the result of an event or experience which took place, and the ethical considerations of the principal artist determine that this must always be the case in every original work published by the band. This is why we promise our audiences an aural and intellectual delight offering poetic lyrical insights in the process.

By communicating on a personal level with the listener, we establish a good, intimate rapport with our audience. This is also why we play so many different styles of music.

We don't have a 'sound'.Our sound is sound, in as many guises as a three piece band can muster, in as many styles as we can play.

"The music is written on a super personal level, inviting the audience to identify with each song as though it were written exclusively for them, which, in a way, is true, if the lyrics are taken on their own merit, otherwise, there is always the option of ignoring them and just digging the music itself," says Vincent Elt, principal songwriter and founder of the band.

"In essence, the music is simply a vehicle for the lyrics and we try to present the work as much as possible to reassure the listener that we are all on this journey together, without the usual bullshit attitudes associated with so called musicians these days. We are here to entertain, yes, but with substance."

THE BLEEDING ROSE humbly wishes all of it's listeners well.
