    Mekisha .A. Hale One of my favorite singers through the 1980's and the 2000's. When 'Square Biz' was release which the only time I heard this wonderful singer with her ability of rhyming on that song half through and the song was the hottest song around at the time. Not just the great singer Teena Marie was but was it was the duets with Rick James. From the time I heard Square Biz. Teena Marie was already a artist for Motown. With already a few albums with the first "Wild and Peaceful" and "Lady T". But my first notion of this multi talented singer was Square Biz. Even through after time later on I would her "Wild and Peacful". And then Lady T. By that time I was already a fan. And by the way she wasn't a bad bass player either. Of course she had mad skills on the musician tip too. This artist finally approach the success but was under most of the time the radar with these great soul jams that went through time and many fans adore. She may be gone but not really she left a treasure trove of great songs and this talent. It was a blessing to hear this woman's work with much appreciation from the generations even today still think. Teena Marie was and will always be 'Lady T' and forever!!!!
