Forging a uniquely lush, dreamy sound she dubbed "ethereal," Tacye began composing music as a child; at 17, she relocated from her native England to Egypt, increasingly absorbing Eastern influences into her subsequent songs.
As a keyboardist and remixer, she collaborated with the likes of Utah Saints and Bomb the Bass, as well as writing a series of songs with Toyah Wilcox; Tacye additionally recorded and toured with Wishbone Ash before releasing her solo debut I Don't Need a Gun in 1999. ~ Jason Ankeny
