The idea was formed in 2006 by lead guitarist & vocalist Victoria Villarreal along side her husband & lead guitarist Manuel Villarreal. The band was off and on through out the years and didn't reach much success due to several line up changes until around 2011 when drummer James Coppolino (drums for Insentient) and bassist Jesse Villalta (bass for We are Alpha) joined in full time to complete the band and take it to the next level.

With such an unusual name, Syrebris (Sur-ree-briss) roots from the word Cerebral, meaning "pertaining to the Cerebrum or the brain." The band created the name to express the the power of the human mind and how the mind can heal itself by reaching higher levels of consciousness/awareness. Their lyrics are highly inspired by Spirituality, Enlightenment, Metaphysics, Transcendence, Conspiracy Theories, and Sacred Geometry which is not commonly found in such extreme music. Hoping to inspire many, together they experiment with genres ranging from Progressive Metal, Death Metal, Thrash, Jazz, Acoustic, to even a subtle sound of World music. With Syrebris, you will hear occasional soft guitars breaks leading into unforgettable riffs of rage and melodic madness.

As of now, they have just released their 6 song EP titled "Aetheric Dynamics." Recorded at Pure Rock Studios, CA. Lead vocals had been recorded at Sadhana Studios, VA with their former vocalist Jeanette Hunsberger who left the band in early 2013 shortly after the release of the EP. After parting ways with their singer, guitarist & vocalist Victoria Villarreal, with previous experience fronting a band, decided to take on the lead vocal duties for now on.

This is just part of their evolution. Expect new sounds to come as they are currently in the process of writing new material for their album and plan to tour the US.
