I'm is a songwriter (ASCAP), producer and music branding strategist who began her career in the music industry in 1982 at Cherry Lane Music.
Over the years, I've written for and/or with artists such as Alisha (1980s pop/dance artist on Vanguard Records and RCA Records) and Meeta Gajjar (who recorded and toured with Pieces of a Dream in the late 1980s/early 1990s). In the late 80's/early 90's, I worked with a number of artists who went on to become Broadway stars, including Idina Menzel (Rent), Marina Chapa (Miss Saigon) and Jeff Reid (Miss Saigon), and have worked numerous times with 1992 Star Search grand prize winner Britt Savage. In the early 90's, I was also a regular guest host on "The Musician's Hour" on Long Island's WGBB radio.

In 1992, I began collaborating with veteran engineer/producer Mark Gaide (who I married in 1997) and together, we formed ChromeOrange Music●Media. Recently signed to ChromeOrange Music●Media is country/rock band Koenig’sRoad, which debuted on Nassau Community College’s radio station 90.3 WHPC-FM on October 6, 2013 (host Rob Leonard’s “The Free for All” Sunday morning show), symphonic psycho-ethereal metalgaze band, Future of Ecstasy, and songwriter/guitarist Geoff “Lip” Danielik, formerly of the 80’s alternative punk rock band The Now (distributed on Columbia Records).

In the mid-1990s, as freelance publicist and strategist to Manhattan public relations/marketing firms, I provided strategic direction to some of the pro audio industry’s most prominent manufacturers, including Sony Electronics, Fairlight USA, JBL Professional, AKG Acoustics and SRS Labs. My articles have been published in leading trade publications such as Mix, Pro Sound News, and Pro AV.

As a music business and marketing educator, I enjoy the prestigious rank of Full Professor at Five Towns College on Long Island. In 1984, the year I joined the faculty of Five Towns College, I developed the college’s associate degree music business program; in 1990, I worked with the vice president of the college on expanding the program to a four-year baccalaureate program. In 2011, I developed an entertainment industry management concentration in the college’s new Master of Fine Arts degree program. I have also developed Social Media Marketing Strategies (online course) for University of California – Berkeley Extension (2009-2013) and am slated to develop an entertainment public relations minor for the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University, where I already instruct online courses in integrated marketing communications for public relations.
