His father saw his interest in music all the time &supported, hence Suraj started his Indian classical (Hindustani/ north-Indian style) Music training on vocals &instrument(Indian harmonium/hand-pumped reed organ) in the year 1995 alongside his elder brother who was on tabla under Guruji Buddhaji Bhoir in Manikpur,Vasai. Later years He continued from various teachers like Sir M.S.Kamath (who would at very low fees &terrible health still travel to teach him), Mrs. Ragini Mishra (vocals &harmonium ) . In 2007 after being a regular rock/metal lover, to learn basic structures of western music, as suggested by Sledge (Hyderabad) took basic guitar training from Teemeer (Vocalist &Guitarist for a lot of well known bands from Mumbai), same year Went to Sir Asmith Devraj (an excellent eclectic guitarist) To study Western Classical on Piano/Keyboards.

In the year 2008, he was sent to 10 days lockup (police cutsody) & 3weeks jail (judicial custody) after being accused by certain politicians of spreading disturbances on sites like Orkut. On being asked about it he says "I am not against the court or law, i believe the truth should win ,this however is the time before the truth is about to win and Its weird, People spread hatred against various communities for decades &make comics against other political parties but they think that a 20 yr old chap doing it against such hatebreeders is actually the wasted youth &an enemy of state? What an Irony ! Sites get blocked , few banned, Cafes get broken, My family gets mentally harassed, Some tell me if i have to stay alive i have to leave the city/state , change my music or job preference &even the way i dress or look. I am glad I have heard but have not listened to it. Drinking dirty water makes the wolf strong. If it wasnt for music, I really might have turned on the other side of the coin &really become some extremely.......unimaginable person, music keeps me sober &in sense"

Dirty water makes beast strong &true, as he says he evolved more, and later on is when he started being a part of many different bands, from alt-rock, to progressive bands, took up only music-related jobs &much more.

Amongst the bands he was part of, Sacred Cult, &Civilized Agony were his most favourite ones.

Suraj also took up job as Demonstrator-cum-sales representative for Keyboards at Furtados twice. He kept his self-studying of More music : both western classical & Other World music going on, (and his physics-maths relation to it), Also he started teaching as a free lancer &since 2010 even with institutes like Keyboard-X (of Guitarhall) &Musical Leaves (could not continue for too long). Suraj Also did part time Teaching as a Music teacher (making students sing here) In a formal school D.S.R.V in Malad in the year 2013.

Was featured for short clips in the movie "Ek main aur ekk tu" .

Played Music for south Indian dramas (yes,live theatre acts)

Played for progressive rock bands (Mostly with Riverblade,Released first single of Riverblade in2013)

Did several Fusion gigs (like Stormfest, world music: Kolkta Fusion Fiesta ,The Band &Judges for Goa Institute of management with Agnya,2013 ;

along with Riverblade members and a rapper played for Dr. Soma Ghosh at Ravindra Natya Mandir,2013).

As for today, he says he is a member of Riverblade Only.

Riverblade :- A classical influenced Progressive Psychedelic Rock band.

"Agnya was a great time, also the music and environment with them helped me come over my 'zero-emotion phase' which might seemed to last forever, I wish I could have done more gigs with them, Also through it I got a chance to jam with my fav' Indian (Symphonic)BlackMetal Band Spiked-Crib. Sadly, lack of time, and need for other ways to support family stops me from playing for more bands. Poor me!"
