Forming in Ottawa, Canada, in 1995, Sully assembled a five-piece lineup consisting of vocalist Becke Gainforth, guitarist Scott Strachan, bassist Paul Prince, drummer Ian Duke, and keyboardist Daniel McCormick.
Managing to record and release their first album in that same year, their self-titled debut album substantiated their better pop remarks and opened the door for the band's recognition all across the local pop music scene. After three years of experimentation and numerous shows, the Canadians recorded their second full-length. I Have Much to Report hit the record stores in 1998 via a re-release of the Nettwerk Records label, that way giving them considerable recognition and catapulting Sully's work to an even larger audience. Receiving favorable reviews by the media, not only locally, but also in the U.S., the team solidified their on-growing fan base. In 2001, the band delivered Bright Lights, their third full-length disc. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
