With a drunken swagger and a defiant attitude, Charlotte, North Carolina rapper Stranger Day is doing his part to keep the Dirty South dirty.
Making a name as a part of the Permanent Vacation crew, Stranger Day began building buzz with the release of his Young Dumb & Dope mixtape, racking up an impressive number of downloads before setting to work on new material. Working with producer Emynd, the southern MC got the attention of the indie world in 2011 when he released the Fugazi-sampling track “Not Playin’,” furthering his goal to take over the rap world with his self-described “barstool bounce.” ~ Gregory Heaney
