A 6'9" man steps on to the stage and grabs the microphone.
The crowd murmurs among themselves "This guy must be introducing the next performer". He opens his mouth and begins to sing. The crowd is taken aback as STEVE//BRIAN begins to share his life's song through music.

STEVE//BRIAN grew up in small town Manitoba where he learned to play piano long before he ever considered singing. He spent a lot of his free time listening to and singing along to music. In fact, he often went to sleep with headphones on or his stereo softly playing music to lull him to sleep and, to this day, continues to do so.

His first experience in music was through piano lessons which he had taken off and on since he was eight years old but it wasn't until he turned 17 that he shifted his focus from being a pianist to a singer when the opportunity to sing in a school musical emerged. His performance as the Grand Vizier in the school's production of "The Stories of Scheherazade" received acclaim and it was from that moment that Steve chose to seriously pursue singing and songwriting.

Since then, almost 10 years ago, STEVE//BRIAN has performed in the US, Nicaragua, Laos and throughout Canada and, during his time at Canadian University College in Lacombe, Alberta, was one of the main praise and worship leaders on campus before graduating in 2009.

Having performed in group, duo and solo settings, he often spoke of recording an album of songs that he'd written and songs that struck a chord with him.

His songwriting from the time he began to write songs nearly 10 years ago ("Come With Me, Be With Me") has grown from catchy pop standards to more deep and meaningful levels of musicianship ("Find Me" and "Here and Now"). STEVE//BRIAN, as a result, has collaborated with various musicians including brother-in-law Charlie Whitworth and close friend Clarence Paterson.

A few of these songs that he had written were recorded for his first digital release titled "Life Acoustic" in April 2011 shortly after releasing his first single "Love Me Still", a cover of Benjamin Mullen and Danielle McTaggart's (of Dear Rouge) 2005 "Gaetz Ave." track. After releasing "Life Acoustic", he chose to revisit these songs and spend more time perfecting them and giving them the attention they deserved.

Currently, STEVE//BRIAN is in the process of recording and, one day, hopes to collaborate with artists Brandon Heath and Greg Sczebel citing the former as one of his greatest musical influences.
