The Young Avenger:Born in Jefferson City, MO and growing up in St.
Louis, So'n'So, aka eSsO', has always dreamed of touring the world and moving people with his ideas and beliefs through his music. As an adventurous child, he was exposed to a variety of arts and crafts. Whether, it was playing the piano, trombone, violin, or even drawing different works of art, eSsO' has always had a creative touch about him. After spending some time singing with the St. Louis Children's Choir, So'n'So moved to a small, but progressive town in the Bay Area called Redwood City, California. From there, he began his journey into Hip Hop's world of rap. Coming home to St. Louis to visit for the summer as an early teen, eSsO' was allowed to "hang out with the fellas." These "fellas" were called the 'Midwest Avengers.' A≥ popular rap group that was known for having high energy performances and abstract styles of music and lyricism. His first live performance stems from his brother, BC, putting him on the spot and making him rap in front of a packed crowd during a "party" aka Rave. Being completely caught off guard and unprepared, So'n'So had to improv and 'Freestyle' a verse while under the spotlight.
Nervously getting through this impromptu performance, So'n'So was approached by DJ O.B. Juan and was told to "keep working at it" and that he was "feeling it." Those short, but sincere compliments still sticks with So'n'So to this day. That one evening could have possibly been the moment when Hip Hop made it's complete entry into eSsO's heart and would stick around forever.
After joining the legendary group, which has since transformed into a full live band, So'n'So continued on his musical journey with Midwest Avengers. With multiple albums and projects under his belt, So'n'So has decided to continue his mission to push himself to be the greatest artist that he can be. In March of 2013, So'n'So finally released a solo project called, 'Rap Buddies.' A project that he likes to refer to as a compilation, being that it shows his many talents and styles through a diverse piece of work with some of St. Louis' premiere and popular artists. Although, this was his first project as a solo artists, there will be many more to come. Stay tuned for more great music in the future!
