Formed in 2003, Southampton, England's Solitude released their first demo -- a four-track work entitled A Mind Without Doors -- later that year.
The demo went through a bit of an overhaul a year later, with an expanded track listing and some production work, becoming a ten-track CD released under the heading Through Torment + Torture on Manmade Records in 2005. An EP -- More Enemies Than Friends -- followed in 2006, as well as some regional touring. Soon after, the band -- Aaron Murphy (guitar), Ian Cullen (bass), Rich Le Vallee (keys), Olly Barnett (drums) -- welcomed a new member, guitarist Matthew Huxted, and began the process of writing new material for a new record. ~ Chris True
