Chicago-based Christian rapper Skrip began creating music as a child, and spent the 2000s developing his skills as both a rapper and producer.
His rhyming and production styles were heavily inspired by golden-era rap, but with positive, Christian-themed lyrics. Skrip contributed production to albums by Thi'sl and Andy Mineo, and released free mixtape The Und_rscore and proper debut album Becoming All Things in 2011. Skrip was the first artist signed to Christian rap label Infiltrate Music, and released his next free mixtape, The Und_rscore II, in 2013. Full-length album Renegades Never Die followed in 2015. ~ Paul Simpson
