An English based band, specifically Reading, SixNationState formed in Southampton in 2004.
The band honed their chops and skills at home and abroad, playing more than a 150 dates and a handful of festivals all in hopes of scoring a record deal. They got halfway there when independent label Worst Case Scenario secured the band a spot on the split single showcasing SixNationState's track "Keep Dancing." The track sprouted wings and landed radio support for the band from Radio 1 and Xfm. The band also caused quite a stir in Germany and Austria, and aside from touring those two nations, were well received at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas. All of the work and performing paid off, and the band were courted by hip UK label Jeepster. Their first single for their new label, "Fire!," was released in late 2006, and was the impetus for a nationwide tour that followed. Their new album, SixNationState -- released September of 2007, was previewed with the single "We Could Be Happy." ~ Chris True
