Looking like Victorian gentlefolk,wielding a distorted bass guitar and a tambourine, Sister Chain & BrotherJohn relate stories of the wicked set and the lovelorn; of teenage daydreamsand erotic nightmares, creating what can best be described as Parlour Punk orlatter day chamber music.

The duo Sister Chain & Brother John formed in July 2005 when singer Sister Chain (Skin Blues, Spinster Sister) met Brother John Higgins (formerfrontman of London band Val’s Basement and fly by night producer) in amysterious bookshop in Berlin. Since that day, Sister Chain and Brother John have played numerous concerts inchurches, on boats, on street corners in war zones as well as the usualnightclubs, festivals and concert halls. They have taken their VictorianGlamrock spectacle on tour to Scandinavia, UK, continental Europe and the USand supported international acts like Lene Lovich, Jowe Head (TelevisionPersonalities) and Michael Dempsey and Lol Tolhurst of The Cure.

Their debut album “Darkness to Warm Your Heart” was released in 2008 and wasfollowed up with their second album “The Androgyne Show” in 2012 which wasreleased on the Danish indie label Sound of Perpetual Astonishment (SOPA). Intheir latest EP 'Take Cover' they sister-chain-brother-johnify the works ofCream, Bowie, the Pixies and Question Mark.
