Si Hayden was born in Coventry, England.
A self-taught musician who wrote & recorded his first solo instrumental 'Steel Happenings' in 1998 & has since followed with a further 27 albums, some of which praised by the likes ofGuitarist Magazine describing him as an acoustic virtuoso. In total he has appeared on over 50 albums including guitar compilations with Bumblefoot, Christophe Godin & Dave Martone.

In 2008 he joined as guitarist for Joe O'Donnell, of early 70's folk rock band East Of Eden. Joe went on to write & record acclaimed 1977 album Goadhals Vision that featured none other than the late great Rory Gallagher.

Si is also a founder member of 91db who gathered rave live reviews appearing at festivals up and down the country & opening large venues for Scrubious Pip, Dan Le Sac & Example. In 2010 91db released their first studio album 'Waiting' followed by a five track EP by British comedian Rik Mayal that featured a remix by 91db.

In 2008 Si collaborated with award winning poet Jon Morley & drummer Ben Haines to write the music for jazz/poetry album 'Backra Men' that acquired critical praise by legendary performance poet Benjamin Zephaniah. The jazz trio then released 'Uncorked' which captured the trio on an improvised set at the prestigious 'Guinness Cork Jazz Festival' in Ireland.

Si has appeared on BBC1 television with Rob Halligan, played live with Mobo award winner Soweto Kinch & guitar master Clive Carroll & has composed soundtracks for theatre, films & BBC radio4. Remaining fiercely independent ever since signing his first music contract from early myspace music exposure, Si set up SilveryRecords. The self-rolling label now exists as a collective of 13 artists with a sister company Dbeats Records.
