Nicholas Shemes was born February 11th, 1990 @ St.
Jospeh Hospital in Flint, MI. Shemy gained notoriety in 2005 when he released his single featuring fellow Flint native, Billy Smokes. The record was broke on WKUF 94.3 via Kettering University. The single was brought to the attention of Jazze Phas father and original Barkay member, James Alexander. James Alexander and business partner Larry Dobson flew up to Flint from Tennessee to negotiate a deal with Shemy. Although the deal "fell through in 2006", Shemy went on to record a debut album in 2008 with the guidance of legendary engineer/producer Bernard Terry. In 2009 he inked a distribution deal with KRD/E1 Ent. (formerly Koch) for his debut album "Look At What I Came From". In August of 2011 Shemy's Official PANDORA Radio station went live. He has been invited to be a part of career day @ Southwestern High School, and Northwestern High School in Flint, MI. MTV made coach Jeff Yalden currently uses one of Shemy's songs @ assemblies in high schools around the world.
