Though, only a few years after that she started to take voice lessons at the local music school. This experience gave her a basic knowledge of the classical music and belcanto vocal Technic. Shamaya recorded her first single "Show me Your ways" in 2007. The song was airplayed on a local radio station.

Her voice and music were spotted by a music promoter from Florida, US, and a few months later Shamaya flew to Miami to collaborate with a quite successful composer/songwriter David Siegel. They recorded a few of David's songs, including "Not meant to be".

After returning from the USA, Shamaya started to perform live with her rock band "Shamaya Music Band".
