The electronic industrial project Seven Trees was formed in 1993 by vocalist Johan Kronberg and a cast of musicians who lasted less than two years.
By that time, however, Kronberg had recruited programmer Henrik Karlsson from another band Kronberg was involved with (Beneath the Moor). They recorded a demo which was quite praised in their native Sweden, and were signed by Zoth Ommog Records thanks to the intervention of Leæther Strip's Claus Larsen. Seven Trees debuted with 1997's Embracing the Unknown, which was released in America as well, on Metropolis Records. ~ John Bush
