In 2000 he moved to the Pacific Northwest where he briefly continued his piano studies at Northwest Music Works from 2000 to 2001, again obtaining a partial scholarship based on a musical talent competition. For the next few years he pursued various other interests until mid 2016, when Badillo decided to continue his musical endeavors. Shortly after, these efforts resulted in the recording of his album "Piano Improvi-Sessions - Volume I", and he has additionally projected a new album before the end of 2016.
