MUSICAL STYLE
Jimmy's musical background includes mostly Traditional & Classic Rock, Blues, Soul, R&B, Funk & Jazz with a strong sense of rhythm & melody.
His playing is generally rooted in the tonality of the song with a great sense of ‘pacing’ so that the listener is carried along even during improvised solos.
While playing with highly respected jazz guitarists, artist and mentor, John Dougherty (*Berklee College Of Music Instructor, *Guitar 80 & Beyond; *The Mind Pick), he expressed what he felt was a strong similarity in sound and technique to solo artist, prolific studio sessions artist & "Steely Dan" Alumnus, Larry Carlton.
