Spencer Seim, guitarist for Hella and drummer for the Advantage, intermingles lo-fi Commodore 64 sounds with frenzied, riff-heavy math rock instrumentals as his alter-ego, SBach.
Using a moniker derived from combining Mr. Spock and Sebastian Bach, a term he created as a way to describe alien-sounding classical music, Seim released his first solo record for Suicide Squeeze on August 19, 2008. This came just a week after his partner in Hella, drummer Zach Hill, released Astrological Straits for Ipecac. ~ Jason Lymangrover
