Satellite Sky is the musical vision of Australian siblings, Pete Kicks (vocals/guitar) & Kim Kicks (drums).
Growing up in the suburbs of Melbourne, they began creating music in true rock n roll fashion in the confines of the family garage. After receiving several visits from the police who informed them their raucous rock n roll was reverberating throughout the surrounding neighborhood, they graduated to jamming in local music studios.

It was not long before they realized that playing live shows was where they were truly in their element. After several national tours throughout Australia, they began touring throughout the globe, including performances at SxSW, Popkomm, Canadian Music Week, CMJ Festival and showcases in Los Angeles, New York, London and Berlin.

After relocating to Los Angeles, they released their self-titled E.P ‘Satellite Sky’ (produced by Paul Lani- U2, Motley Crue, Prince) which summoned a grandiose flavor akin to artists such as Kasabian and Bowie, while drawing on raw elements of The Hives and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Their music can be heard in a variety of commercials, films and trailers, including music documentary ‘Rockin The Wall’ (PBS), Los Angeles Film Festival winner ‘Almost Kings’ (featuring ‘I Like It’ and ‘With You’) and the NFL’s 2011 and 2012 Season campaigns. The single ‘Got This Feeling’, was featured throughout NBC’s and Budweiser’s Summer Olympics commercial campaign.

They have also received significant radio support at both national and international levels, including KROQ (USA), X-FM (UK), and Triple J (Aus). Anchored by what many industry insiders regard as “one of the best female drummers on the planet”, Satellite Sky has a stage show that leaves audiences with the knowledge they were witness to an extraordinary Rock ‘n Roll experience!

“Satellite Sky pounds out pure unadulterated rock. They definitely look like a rock band, and their energy is incredible. There was so much chemistry between the band members it’s no surprise to learn they are siblings. There appears to be genuine warmth between them and they interact well on stage. Kim Kicks is absolutely lethal on the drums and I’ve never seen anyone drum quite so passionately.” Cambell Klose, Music.com.au
