Raised in Central Texas on Waylon Jennings and Elvis' Country side, Sam Watkins learned to sing at age 6, learned to play guitar at age 12 and began writing and enhancing his craft at the age of 18 in Austin, Texas where he was influenced by the western swing stylings of George Strait and Asleep At The Wheel.
In 2006 he met and partnered with a former model and modeling agent Tina Reza (now Tina Watkins) and together they created Sam Watkins Country to manage Sam's music, recorded a 12 song CD of Sam's original songs and the rest, as they say, is music history. Now they are married and actively promote singer-songwriters, artists and bands through ITNS Radio & SWC, LLC., the company "By Musicians For Musicians" and, as they love to say, "Don't Just Be A Music Lover Be A Music Supporter".Sam's current single "Has Anybody Seen Me" is available here right now and another single is being decided on as we write this bio. His single is also on iTunes, Amazon and elsewhere.
