Keenan's music, which he calls inbred experimental pop, blurs genre.
It's a mix of samples, found objects, rock classics, hip-hop, orchestral instruments and noise. Keenan began touring, performing and writing music in his tweens after "falling in love with Bjork" and started a mostly forgotten band called Liquid Ernie along with guitarist and songwriter Shane Bakalyar. After graduating from The Perpich Center for Arts Education in Minneapolis he weaved his way in and out of many twin cities bands as an instrumentalist, performer and producer. He became the main recording engineer for twin cities radio station The Current in their early days and recorded many hipster bands who could afford to come through Minnesota on tour. Keenan currently performs with a variety of backing musicians and releases singles and short play records from time to time. He also does soundtrack work for various multimedia projects with organizations like Game Informer Magazine, American Public Media, and Gamer Press. - Napoleon Online
