FEMALE FRONTED LO-FI ELECTRONICA
Sacre Noir are a Scottish based three piece, centred around vocalist / producer Carrie Beattie. Initially conceived as a solo project, Sacre Noir released a trilogy of EPs before bringing in the talents of Phil Lock on guitar and Alexis Beattie on electronic drums to perform live and record the debut LP 'Her Volatile Condition.'

In 2011 Sacre Noir took to the road to tour their first album, performing debut shows in Berlin, Paris, London and Liverpool. Highlights included gigs at the Paris Plages festival and at the infamous Vibe Bar on London's Brick Lane.

"Undoubtedly, this artist has made this record from their own heart..."

Sacre Noir kicked off their 2012 summer tour with concerts in Glasgow and Edinburgh with American electronic duo Hyperbubble. These shows also marked the launch of the 2nd album - 'Sinking Into Darkness', which included Sacre Noir's debut single / video release 'She Can't Take It'. During the 2012 summer tour Sacre Noir appeared at La Rotonde Stalingrad (Paris) and Madame Claude's (Berlin) among other venues.

"moody blues that sounds like it's been filtered through transistors, capacitors and other gadgetry"

2013 saw Sacre Noir embark on their third summer tour, including shows at The Dublin Castle and Power's Bar in London, Le Vieux Leon in Paris and Little Stage in Berlin. During this tour Sacre Noir appeared with some great acts including George Frakes, The Ocean's Above, Dressmaker, the Mickey 9s and The Penny Black Remedy.

As a vocalist Carrie has also collaborated under the Sacre Noir moniker with various notable producers - recent features have included work with various hip-hop artists currently working in Scotland including MOG and UVBeatz (both Powercut Productions), Conscious Route (True Hold Records) and MC duo Werd & Deeko (Sons of Scotland).
