a young teen rudie experienced a breakthrough taste of limelight at a variety of events including Stageshows where he would Rap or toast Lyrics at a vast amount of shows put on by local councils from outdoor festivals on the high streets to college and university gigs in the south east of england. Rudie also voiced a soundtrack for achannel 4 documentry ' education's the key' whilst in high school, this documentry was aired on channel 4 and in Barbados as well as other eu countries, all this before Rudie took to the decks to pursue the dj route

After a Short Career on a Small Sound system with some friends Rudie then known as 'RUDE BOY' Or Rough Neck MC had his apprentiship of a Dj / Mc / sound engineer on a sound called New Generation which then formed into Rthym Kings, This was the start of Rude Boy Promotions, As early as 1989 Rudie Helped Promoting Events in Youth Centres. By time Rudie was a teen he Gained enough Knowledge and was soon designing flyers for other promoters. Its then he joint forces with The UK's African Roots Sound System formerly Known as Lion Roots & Brixton Promotion Sound well known for their sound clash cup victories where he experienced Music on a much more professional level and started working alongside some of the worlds greats. Some people will remember Rudie as a young teenager alongside his right hand mc spar n partner DEADLY HUNTA Then known to the world as Juniour sam as the duo tore up events everywhere and were seen to many as the future stars of uk dancehall.

Fast forward now to present time and with Over 20 Years in The Business and still on top of his game.

ACHEIVMENTS

In 2005 Rudie won his first awards for : CONTRIBUTION TO DANCEHALL ENTERTAINMENT & MOST IMPROVED DJ and the following year They came rolling in one by one. 2006 saw Rudie picking up various Awards including the first person to win the BIG EYE AWARD FOR SELECTOR OF THE YEAR 2006 & THE AIR JAMAICA AWARD FOR CONTRIBUTION OF BLACK ENTERTAINMENT IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND. Rudies other Awards include more recent Awards including 2 Formal Credits from the Carribean food Giant GRACE.

2009 - 2010 Rudie lands a position on internet Radiohttp://www.riseupmagazine.co.uk Where he held the Wednesday Night Slot from 8pm - 10pm (GMT) with his very own 'Up 2 The Time' Radio Show. Playing the Latest in Reggae & Dancehall music.

2012 Rudie received the honor to play in The RED BULL CULTURE CLASH 2012 - SOUND CLASH , which is one of the biggest organised Sound Clashes on the planet. Rudie was picked to play on the Weapons of choice team at The red bull culture clash regional event in Bristol in october 2012, which was one of three warm up clashes that took place in bristol , birmingham and Glasgow leading up to the grand finally in Wembeley arena the following month.

Rudie Specialisizes in the genres of Dancehall Reggae but also is fully experienced with all types of popular music.
