A versatile and seasoned Boston-based rock unit, Rubikon began honing their signature blend of bluesy and melodic, progressive metal-infused hard rock in 2001 with the release of a pair of regionally well-received EPs.
In 2004 the band, which features the core lineup of Joshua Gruss (guitar, vocals), Doug Arkham (drums, vocals), Hugh Eaton (bass), Dave Raymond (guitar, banjo), and Jae Sims (vocals), issued their debut studio long-player, Hollow Men. After logging a significant amount of road time, the band decided to take a break and spent the next several years tending to matters of a more settled nature, but by 2009 they were gearing up for a comeback, releasing their sophomore full-length outing, American Dream Machine, in 2012. For their third studio album, the band enlisted production help from Marti Frederikson (Aerosmith, Brother Cane). The resulting Delta was issued via Tapete Records in 2015. ~ James Christopher Monger
