Jazz pianist Roberto Carcasses has become one of Cuba's most prominent players and arrangers, collaborating with Selma Reis on Air of Havana and Gema Y Pavel's Trampas Del Tiempo.
As a bandleader he has released 1998's Jazz Timbero and 2000's Invitation. The Irakere Band's Cesar Lopez and Alfredo Thompson are just two of the supporting members in Carcasses' Havana-based band. ~ Heather Phares
