Drummer/Instructor after piano study he begun to study drums in 1982 with Ettore Mancini receiving snare rudiments, basic tecnique and first Jazz orientation, in the same period he attended music theory course at Testaccio Music School in Rome; subsequently he improved technical-stylistic knowledge studying with Giancarlo Aru, John Arnold and finest italian jazz drummer Roberto Gatto.
In 1989 he moved in UK to earn musical experience in different fields playing studio and live gigs with many bands and ensembles, among others "And also the Trees", "The Embrace" and studying with the greater representatives of the London drums scene of those years. Once back in Italy he improved his jazz expertise following Ettore Fioravanti with which he studied until 1995 and with Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez perfecting afro-caribbian rhythms and independence. Until that, he came upon Peter Erskine who litterally strucks him. He’s still grateful to Mr.Erskine because, besides the instrumental teaching, gave him passion and deep inspiration towards the world of Jazz. Along his musical research and instrumental study conducted since today, he attended workshops and clinics held by: Peter Erskine, Agostino Marangolo, Tullio De Piscopo, Fabrizio Sferra, Valter Martino, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Jack DeJohnette, Elvin Jones, Paul Motian, Rick Latham, Robbe Ameen, Steve Smith, Bob Moses, Adam Nussbaum, Joey Baron, Trilok Gurtu, Tony Oxley, Daniel Humair, Tommy Campbell, Sangoma Everett, Keith Carlock, Gavin Harrison, Benny Grebb, Jojo Mayer, Dom Famularo, Chuck Silverman, Gregory Hutchinson.
