Atlanta, Georgia's Rhonda Thomas is a passionate, gifted vocalist who often combines her love of jazz and vintage soul with her own alternative R&B sound.
For most of her career, Thomas worked as a backup vocalist, touring and recording with such luminaries as Isaac Hayes, Luther Vandross, Roberta Flack, Roy Ayers, Sam Moore, and others. As a vital member of the Atlanta R&B scene, she has released a handful of her own solo efforts, including Breathe New Life (2004) and Listen (2010). In 2015, inspired by the '80s productions of Quincy Jones, George Duke, and Phyllis Hyman, Thomas released the album Vinyl Daze, which featured collaborations with producers Khari Cabral Simmons, Daz-I-Kue, and Julius Speed. ~ Matt Collar
