Their style is a melancholic acoustic folk music in Russian, English and French languages. The repertoire of The Retuses consists of original songs by Mikhail Rodionov and songs based on poems, particularly on the poems of Sergey Esenin and Nikolay Gumilev.

The Retuses band is a regular member of famous Moscow festival "Afisha Picnic" and other most important music festivals. The band was nominated for the main Russian independent music award "Stepnoy Volk" twice. They were also the winners of the "Zolotaiya Gorguliya" award in the category of debut
