Carsten Scholz, Michael Scholz and Thomas Granzow to pledge

allegiance to genuine Old School Brutal Death Metal. Over the next

three years the band released three demo tapes, which gained deep

respect among the national and international metal press since

their uncompromising brutality flew in the face of the moribund

seeming Death Metal scene. Their outstanding live performance

was even praised by West Germany's biggest newspaper “Waz”.

1997 the now out-of-stock 7” “Bloodline” was released via

“Underground Promotion” and was followed by “Raping Whores”

(1998) and “Fairless to the Flesh” (1999). These two full-length

albums had been published via Perverted Taste and the reactions

of both fans and press vaulted RESURRECTED into cult status.

But the band did not rest on its laurels and got one better with their

2001 album “Butchered in Excrement”. In 2003 they went all out to

reach the throne of US style Death Metal with their album

“Blood Spilled”, produced by Hans Pieters (Excess Studios) who

gave the album a distinct American powerful sound. Their effort

was rewarded by the feedback, which was even more positive than

for the predecessor.

Short after that RESURRECTED was among the very first underground

acts to release a DVD (“Stillborn Penetration”), containing two

complete live gigs from their successful festival season in 2003.

Late 2004 Stephan Bays was replaced by his younger brother Ben,

after having supported the band with his outstanding musical talent

since 1997. After intensive live appearances the band concentrated

on song writing in most of 2005 in order to produce their 5th

full-length “Endless Sea of Loss”, which was released via Morbid

Records. Recorded in the notorious Soundlodge Studios

(God Dethroned, Obscenity) by Jörg Uken this album was a landmark

in the history of the band which led to recommendations in several

editorials, countless airplays and dozens of interviews.

In 2009band unleashed their newest, most mature and most brutal

album so far: “Fierce“ Assiduously recorded by guitar player Thomas

Granzow in the Catacomb Studios and again perfected by Jörg Uken

in his Rhauderfehner Soundlodge Studios, this album marks the

absolute climax in the bands trajectory. Without losing any of their

trademarks the band accomplished to mix their Old School Brutal

Death scaffolding with elements of modern Death Metal packed in

an absolute earsplitting killer production.

After a severe illness of singer Carsten and moving houses of drummer

Hazim the band went through a lineup change in early 2012 forced to

replace both with „Extreme Drummer‘s Universe“ killer outfit

Dennis Thiele on drums and GRIND INC‘s premier growler Chris Mieves

on the vokills. But Carsten and Hazim didn‘t leave the band without a

final bang; the Mini CD „Morbus“ marked their final chapter leaving

the band with two new songs and one rerecorded track plus two cover

versions of the band‘s most inspiring acts during their early days.
