Boy band ReConnected initially formed in 2010 to take part on tne television talent competition show Britain's Got Talent, then performed as the five-piece Connected.
The band made it all the way to the final, covering artists such as Backstreet Boys, Jackson 5, and their idols Westlife. In the final episode they sang a version of the track "What About Now" by Daughtry and finished up in 8th position. When the show came to a close, they toured with the rest of the contestants of Britain's Got Talent all across the U.K. At the end of the tour, Connected announced they were splitting up. Shortly after, brothers Harry and Max Mondryk, and Matt Fitzgerald, went on to form ReConnected without the brothers Myles and Connor Ryan.

The trio toured constantly for the duration of 2011 and began to work with songwriter and producer Tim Woodcock. Late 2011 saw the band sign to RKA Records, a label part-owned by business tycoon Duncan Bannatyne, following their appearance on the television show Dragons' Den. The band started 2012 playing concerts and it was around this time that their track "One in a Million" made its first appearance, a song that would go on to become the band's first single. The rest of the year was relatively quiet as the young trio concentrated on their studies.

Early 2013 saw the band return and officially release "One in a Million." The track managed to reach number 32 in the U.K. chart, backed by a 22-date tour supporting the act Little Mix. Their second single, "Time of Our Lives," was released in September 2013 and included a music video that was shot on location in Ibiza. The single went straight into the Top 40, debuting at number 33. ~ James Pearce
