Meaning Lantan’s learning process was steep. His growing reputation started opening doors attracting sound systems djs to take him to cut his first dub plates at JARO studio alongside Ninja Ford and predator, As a young teenager DJ Lantan honed his skills at Sugar Minott's Youth man promotions studio in Kingston, and king Jammys studio,Since gaining professional studio experienced Lantan has worked with chart topping producers, across the globe,Lantan has worked with producers like Stevie (Dirty Cash) V. Keith (Maccabees) Wint,Bobby Milestone/Calvin Francis,LPOJ,Joe (Smokeshop),JBmixx,Rebel Sonix,Geekboy,Koogah Sound,TMD,Priest J,Patrick McMahon,Nuphlo (Studio Rockers),Jimmy 2bad,Warm n Easy (WorldBeat), Deenie (House Of Element), Duttymix,Dejedi,+. Lantan Also collaborated with artist like Vybz kartel, Nitty Kutchie, Wayne Marshall,Topcat, Action Fire, Anthony Que,Tenza,Troublesome,Mc Rb, Mc Li,Barry Micron,Tikaros, to name a few, He also done works with several female artist from the RnB/PoP scene including Rebekka Gayle, Cherry, Ms T Rey, Danielle, Twila j ,Gee Morris, Liana Wall,Rokhsan,Helen Rogers,Tenza. He is a very good songwriter/lyricist and poet and penned all his own material. Lantan had singles & Vinyl’s out from the late 90’s and early 2000,including Track called “My life” and another called “Take It Off” produced by Legendary Stevie v, But in 2005 “ Hotta Flames records” released his first full album “The Furnace” distributed by Jetstar. This leads to him touring on both side of the Atlantic Europe and Japan. Lantan along with Miss Triniti has opened shows For Sean Paul in large arenas in Japan Tour. Lantan main influence comes from his environment, and a wealth of life experiences,a few of his favorite artist he listen to growing up,is bob Marley & Shabba Ranks,Lantan is a Qualified level 2 audio visual engineering,(Studio recording,Mixing audio production and video editing techniques). In 2007 Lantan teamed up with UK based Jbmixx a top musician/producer from group 3rd nation, who worked previously with Lionel Ritchie, Anastasia etc. And he was signed to Mercury Records, jbmixx and Lantan formed a production team called black/smith productionz, they produced albums worth of material which is more of a commercial mainstream appeal, one of the albums TRULY MAGICAL was released by USA label ACM records,This album demonstrates what a versatile professional artist he has become from the early days of the street of Kingston,Lantan music has been featured in TNT Rizzoli and Isles & also on E Channel/NBC Universal, self-penned track “Facebook Love” on british Sky tv talent show “Must Be The Music” hosted by Fearne Cotton and judged by Jamie Cullum, Sharleen Spiteri and Dizzee Rascal,Lantan is always working hard recording new material working on new projects & gigging.
