Ras Mo Moses
Ras Mo Moses is an award-winning performing artist, musician, performance poet, storyteller, playwright, master-drummer, theater director. His stage performances include Afro Caribbean music, reggae, zouk, soca, hip-hop and spoken-word. His songs and poems can be performed solo or accompanied by drummers or a full band. Ras Mo plays Afro Caribbean hand drums and percussion along with his singing poetry and storytelling. He accompanies other artists as a percussionist. His uplifting, refreshing and healing work has been seen through out the Caribbean and North America and the UK.
Ras Mo is a youth worker who uses the arts for youth and community development and healing. Ras Mo’s latest project is the Pink & Blue Arts for Violence Prevention Project with a CD, a one man play Testify-Real Stories Real People and prevention education presentations, performances & workshops addressing gender, violence and health including HIV & AIDS. Ras Mo Performances
Poetry / Spoken Word / Storytelling: Ras Mo as solo performer presents his original stories and poems, with percussion and dynamic stage performance.
Drumming: Ras Mo performs traditional and original songs and poems with a two to six percussionists playing exciting Caribbean and African rhythms.
World, Caribbean Music, and/or Urban Music Concerts: Ras Mo performs with a full band including bass, keyboards, guitar, drums, percussion and background vocals.
