After performing with the likes of Dru Hill, Faith Evans, and 112, Cincinnati, Ohio contemporary R&B trio Ram-Z nailed down Dru Hill's Nokio to produce their debut single, "Let Me Be the One," which featured an appearance by Drag-On and remixes by Kelly G. and Bad Boy's Prestige.
The single attracted some attention, released on TVT in late 2000, and Ram-Z aimed for commercial success despite the lack of a full-length album. However, Let Me Be the One was released in January of the next year. ~ Jason Birchmeier
