2009-2012:First Album & Novel “The Cosmocinesy”
Founded byguitarist/composer Tony Beaufils, Qantice is not only a symphonic power metalband with movie tracks influences but also an imaginary universe where theepics of a Science Fantasy saga spread over a novel. With the release of itsfirst album The Cosmocinesy (Brennus Records) in 2009, produced by keyboardistand producer Kevin Codfert (Adagio, Myrath), Qantice received a warm welcomefrom the Prog & Metal press and fans, but also extended its reach beyondmetal. In 2010, Tony Beaufils, Aurélien Joucla (drums), Yosh Otias (violin),Vince (Vocals), and live bassist Fred Charpentier, hit the stages in their homecountry, France. Meanwhile, Tony and author Marie Fontaine put the finishingtouches on the book La Cosmocinésie, a 576 pages novelization of the firstconcept album, released through Editions Argemmios in 2012.

2013-2014:Second Album
For their awaited new release recorded in 2013, the French metallers recruited Norwegian vocal sensation PelleK (seven million views on YouTube, last solo album charting No 2 on iTunes Norway, also singer in Damnation Angels) to go into hyper drive and aim for the stars! This follow-up to the The Cosmocinesy also gathers big names:produced again by Kevin Codfert, The Phantonauts was mastered by Jens Bogren(D. Townsend, Symphony X) and features guest appearances from Zaher Zorgati (Myrath)and Yossi Sassi (Orphaned Land).
The resultis 11 tracks of other-worldly epicness in which fantasy atmospheres meetjaw-dropping virtuosity and where a whole new meaning is given to the genre"Movie Metal".
