NEW REVIEW - PUSSY 'INVASION' album - Part 2 Many thanks to cosmic_bkc - Instagram:Pussy-Invasion (1973) Deram Records. Sort of Glammy as well! This album is about 5-6 years ahead of the RnR curve in that it has almost a late 70’s power pop infused punkness to go with the slammin’ hard driving guitar sound! The vocals have almost a glammed out alt rock vibe! I told ya this was hard to describe!This is one of those albums that grabs me at first listen and I love it when a record does that! I dig a lot of cool albums but it’s not often that one reaches out and snatches me by the soul and makes that cosmic connection! Pussy Invasion has done just that! Def worth checking out! This freaking album and I connected immediately over a few cocktails and Gron Pearl Gummies! This album spent 30 years shelved without an official release! Thank God for Rockadrome on making this readily available to weirdo heads like us!Long rumored to be an unreleased 2nd LP by the Hard n Heavy 70’s band Jerusalem. While it does have former Jerusalem players Ray Sparrow & Paul Dean onboard, Jerusalem this is not! Also produced by Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan as was the lone Jerusalem album. The music is hard to describe but I’ll give it a shot! Hard rocking, full of groovy hooks and some serious guitar riffage! Post Psych heaviness with some really cool studio augmentation!

British band Jerusalem is well known among 70s hard rock enthusiasts for their classic 1972 debut album on the Deram label and its recent vinyl and cd reissues. Pussy, also managed and produced by Ian Gillan (DP), was formed immediately after the breakup of Jerusalem in 1972. Pussy recorded and released one single for the Deram label with the original line-up of Paul Dean, Ray Sparrow, and Bob Cooke and went on to record their debut album between 1972 and 1973 with Brian Goff taking over for Bob Cooke on guitar. This album has remained previously unreleased on vinyl until now!
